THE WHOLE FAMILY: Halloween in Carmel-by-the-Sea Halloween is a very popular celebration in the United States–and especially Carmel. Held on the last day of October, many homes decorate their yards with carved pumpkins and depictions of skeletons, witches, and the like. Children dress up in costumes and knock on neighbors’ doors or visit local businesses in the hopes of receiving free candy.
FREE: Halloween on the Wharf: Trick or Treat By the Bay Come in costume to this family-friendly event on Halloween. Trick or Treat at participating merchants on the Wharf, enjoy Witch photo ops and special candy treats. DJ Music Favorites from 4 pm – 6 pm. Wharf Costume Contest at 6 with Cash Prizes. Other Halloween surprises, too. Come out and celebrate this fun holiday on the Wharf!
KIDS 12 & OVER: Spooky & Socially Distanced Haunted House – Halloween day, 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m alongside the Pumpkin Patch at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, ghouls, and goblins age 12 and up will enjoy the bone-chilling, skin-crawling thrills of their worst Halloween nightmares! Walk through this Haunted House presented by the Artichoke Festival and following all recommended county health and safety protocols, with masked ghouls, contactless scares, touchless ticketing options, and a frighteningly large number of hand sanitizing stations.
EVERYONE: Haunted Trail & Hay Ride at Wonder Wood Ranch Enjoy a hayride around the decorated half-mile trail through the woods. Plus, pumpkin painting, snacks, and hot cider, pictures with the horses, games with prizes, and more. Good for the whole family! Get outside and enjoy the fresh, cool, autumn air and beautiful skies of the season.
FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS: Ghoulish Masquerade Ball A costumed Halloween bash, full of dreadful fun and the monster mash! Join us if you dare, for a spooky night of terror. Drinks, Appetizers, and a Halloween Costume Contest! You won’t want to miss out. Ages 21-40 **Please bring proof of vaccination for admission at the door. Thursday, October 28th, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm at the Monterey Yacht Club
ADULTS: Monster Party It’s time to party in a costume that’s nice or naughty! Join October 31st for a wicked dance party & costume contest. Tickets include all-you-can-eat tacos + 1 drink. Awesome prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place costume contest winners! Howl at the moon and party like we didn’t get to in 2020. Bring your A-game and get ready to boogie!
