This 1.25 mile coastal walk is absolutely stunning – and oh so family friendly. Pack a blanket and enjoy some time in the sun before heading back for a delicious meal at one of Monterey’s delectable dining options.
- Point Lobos Loop Trail in Point Lobo State Natural Reserve
This 7.5 loop trail is moderately challenging, but the views are worth it. Great for hikers, bird watchers and trail runners, it’s a popular route that starts and ends in charming Carmel-by-the-Sea.
- Snively’s Ridge Trail in Garland Ranch Regional Park
This dog-friendly trail is a thigh burner, but you’re sure to love it. The views are spectacular, and that feeling of accomplishment once you get to the top, priceless. Clocking in at 5.8 miles, this out-and-back trail is worth the effort.
